This month, we’re spotlighting the Southeast Austin Neighborhood of Austin, Texas.  This encompasses a pretty large area, roughly defined as being South of Ben White/Highway 71, East of I-35, North of Slaughter Lane, and West of 183. Southeast Austin is popular because of its affordable pricing while still being located near Downtown Austin.
The area has a lot of points of interest, like McKinney Falls State Park, the Colorado River Greenbelt, and the Austin Bergstrom International Airport.  There are also several golf courses in or near South Austin, including RiversideRoy Kizer, and Jimmy Clay.  In fact,Onion Creek, one of the Southernmost Southeast Austin neighborhoods, hosted the PGA Champions tour in the 1970’s.  Southeast Austin is also in close proximity to the Lady Bird Lake Hike and Bike Trail.
